Biography

Dr. Jennifer Jared earned her PhD with an emphasis on contemporary American literature from Claremont Graduate University. Her dissertation The Radiance of a Thousand Suns: Issue of Authenticity of Contemporary American Fiction. She earned her MA at Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee. Her MA thesis was entitled “Sending a Man to the Moon: Discovering the Themes of the Quest and the Wound in the Literature of Philip K. Dick.” At the University of La Verne, Dr. Jared instructs classes in writing and has taught courses in American literature. She also helps with the development of the One Book program and the Writing Studio courses in conjunction with the Academic Success Center.
